Sydney Kaye is a mixed media artist currently residing in Southern California while pursuing her Master of Science in Regenerative Studies at Cal Poly Pomona. Kaye received her BFA in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Bio Art from the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York City in 2018. While attending SVA, Kaye worked as a lab assistant in the Nature and Technology Lab and developed an interest in horticulture that deeply inspired most of her work. After graduating Kaye worked as a horticulturist at a botanical design studio in Brooklyn, NY and took courses in Horticultural Therapy at New York Botanical Garden. Kaye’s work focuses on the importance of engaging with nature and integrates the use of found natural objects and environmentally friendly and biodegradable materials.
